He opened his own studio in 1962 and went on to become one of the most influential Scandinavian designers of the 20th century. From the 1960s onwards, he experimented with plastic, bright colours and organic shapes, breaking with the conventions of traditional design. Several of his creations, such as his famous plastic and fibreglass chairs, now feature in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, MoMA in New York and the Vitra Design Museum.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eA passion for the endless possibilities of plastic\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAn independent designer since 1962, Eero Aarnio associates the word plastic with limitless possibilities. His favourite colour is white, and he admits he would like to have the Wing collection by A-Cero in his own home. A lover of classic films, he is not attached to any particular object and believes above all in the pursuit of perfection in his work.
