The most famous champagne at the top of the Pyrenees

Founded in 1772 in Reims, the Veuve Clicquot house is one of the most recognisable jewels of the LVMH group. Its yellow-orange signature, patented as early as 1877, has become one of the most iconic colours of French luxury. Far from settling for traditional tasting, the brand regularly takes over exceptional venues to create experiences beyond its walls.

At Grandvalira, the largest ski resort in the Iberian Peninsula, Veuve Clicquot treated itself to a seasonal high-altitude event terrace. The challenge: to recreate, beneath snow-covered peaks, the sophisticated atmosphere the brand usually cultivates in Reims or on the Côte d'Azur. To meet it, the choice fell on Vondom outdoor furniture.

Clicquot orange as a visual accent

The brand's colour identity dominates the scenography. Clicquot orange punctuates the cushions, the textile accessories and certain pieces of furniture, in contrast with the white and anthracite volumes of the rest of the scheme. In the surrounding snow the effect is striking: the terrace can be spotted from afar, like a warm point in the mineral landscape.

This approach illustrates Vondom furniture's ability to recede or assert itself depending on the project. Here, the pieces are deliberately neutral in their base colour to let the Clicquot identity take the light. The furniture acts as a setting, never as the signature.

Three Ramón Esteve collections in dialogue

The whole project was furnished with pieces designed by Ramón Esteve. The modular sofa from the Vela collection structures the central lounge, accompanied by the sofa and armchair from the Ulm collection for the more intimate areas. This combination creates a restrained yet exclusive setting, exactly what the brand was looking for.

The high tables and stools from the Frame collection complete the scheme, adding a more informal note. Ramón Esteve designed the Frame with an openly minimalist approach: a clean geometric base, a simple tabletop, no unnecessary material. It is exactly the vocabulary that suits the chic sobriety sought by Veuve Clicquot.

Panorama and gourmet dining

The strength of this address lies as much in its menu as in its view. The site offers a 360-degree panorama over the Andorran peaks, which the architects wanted to preserve with a low layout, without vertical elements that would block the view. The Vondom furniture, with its horizontal silhouette, plays this self-effacing role perfectly.

The culinary offer follows the same demanding approach. Selected gourmet products, pairings of dishes and Clicquot champagnes, table service even in the open air. The terrace works as a natural extension of the tasting experiences the brand offers indoors, with the advantage of fresh air and snow.

Outdoor luxury, the new frontier of design

The Veuve Clicquot project illustrates a trend we follow closely at Verano Design. The great luxury houses are no longer content with their boutiques and urban embassies: they are taking over holiday destinations with terraces, pop-ups and temporary installations that extend the brand experience into the customer's leisure time.

These projects require furniture that combines several qualities rarely found together: technical resistance to weather conditions, aesthetic sobriety so as not to compete with the client's identity, and the ability to fit into very different scenographies depending on the season. The Vela, Ulm and Frame collections by Vondom meet precisely this specification.
