Returns and Refunds Policy

The products sold on https://verano-design.com are new and come directly from the manufacturers and suppliers whose products we distribute. They benefit from the statutory guarantees provided for by French law, as well as from the return conditions set out below.

1. Reservations upon delivery

Our products are bulky and are shipped by specialist carriers. On receipt, we invite you to check the condition of the parcels in the presence of the delivery driver.

In the event of visible damage, you must record precise and detailed reservations on the delivery note, and then inform us within three working days, in accordance with Article L. 133-3 of the French Commercial Code (Code de commerce). A general remark such as "subject to unpacking" has no legal value.

Please send us, at contact@verano-design.com, a copy of the annotated delivery note together with photographs of the damage observed. We will then bear the full cost of replacing or refunding the product, return costs included.

Important: this three-day period applies exclusively to damage in transit. It in no way limits the statutory guarantees described below, which apply for two years.

2. Statutory guarantees

Irrespective of any commercial guarantee, Verano Design remains liable for any lack of conformity of the goods and for latent defects under the conditions provided for by law.

Statutory guarantee of conformity

You have a period of two years from delivery of the goods to bring a claim under the statutory guarantee of conformity (Article L. 217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation)).

Within this period, you may have the goods brought into conformity, by repair or replacement, at no cost to you. If repair and replacement are impossible or cannot be carried out within one month, you may obtain a price reduction or the cancellation of the sale.

You are not required to prove the existence of the lack of conformity during the twenty-four months following delivery of the goods.

The costs of returning the product under the statutory guarantee of conformity are borne in full by us.

Guarantee against latent defects

You may also invoke the guarantee against hidden defects in the goods sold, within the meaning of Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code (Code civil). This action must be brought within two years of the discovery of the defect. It allows you to obtain the cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the price.

Manufacturers' commercial guarantees

Some of our manufacturers offer additional commercial guarantees, the duration and terms of which vary from range to range. These guarantees are in addition to the statutory guarantees and never replace them. The conditions applicable to your product will be provided on request at contact@verano-design.com

3. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer within the meaning of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), you have a period of thirty calendar days from receipt of the last product in your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give any reason for your decision.

This period is longer than the statutory period of fourteen days provided for in Article L. 221-18 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation). If this period expires on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday, it is extended until the next working day.

The date on which your withdrawal request is sent shall be authoritative.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

You simply need to notify us of your decision by an unequivocal statement, by email to contact@verano-design.com or by post to the address given at the end of this document. You may use the model withdrawal form, but this is not compulsory.

We will acknowledge receipt of your request and send you the return procedure applicable to your product.

Products excluded from the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L. 221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.

This concerns products made to measure at your request: dimensions not in the catalogue, colours or finishes not listed in the manufacturer's colour chart, engravings, markings or specific customisations.

On the other hand, products from our standard catalogue, although manufactured after your order has been confirmed, do give rise to the right of withdrawal. The fact that a product is put into production on receipt of the order does not make it personalised within the meaning of the law, provided that its characteristics appear in the manufacturer's catalogue.

Where a product is excluded from the right of withdrawal, this exclusion is explicitly indicated to you on the product page and before your order is confirmed.

4. Return procedure

Products must be returned to us within fourteen days of notifying us of your decision to withdraw.

Products must be complete, unused and in their original packaging, together with their accessories, instructions and the corresponding invoice.
We recommend that you keep the original packaging throughout the withdrawal period. As our products are bulky, returning them without the manufacturer's packaging exposes the parcel to damage.
Please contact us before sending anything back: we will give you the return address and, if you wish, an estimate of the transport cost with our partner carriers.
No cash-on-delivery consignment will be accepted, for any reason whatsoever.

Return costs: in the event of withdrawal, the cost of returning the goods is borne by you, in accordance with Article L. 221-23 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation). This provision does not apply to returns due to a lack of conformity, a latent defect or damage in transit, for which we bear all costs.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and proper functioning.

5. Refunds

We will refund all sums paid, including the initial delivery costs, no later than fourteen days from the date on which the returned product is collected or, if earlier, the date on which you provide us with proof that the product has been dispatched.

Initial delivery costs are refunded on the basis of the standard delivery rate. If you chose a more expensive delivery method, the additional cost remains payable by you.

The refund is made using the same means of payment as that used for the order, unless you expressly agree to another means. It will not incur any fees for you.

In the event of a partial return, only the products actually returned are refunded.

6. Defective or non-conforming product

If the product received is defective, damaged or does not match the description on the website, contact us at contact@verano-design.com, attaching a description of the problem together with photographs.

We will then, at your choice and under the conditions provided for by law, replace the product or refund it in full. In this case, the costs of return and re-dispatch are borne entirely by Verano Design.

7. Disputes

In the event of a disagreement, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
