A rethought place of worship and learning
In the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Victory Church campus embodies a new generation of religious spaces. Designed by the studio SAE Design, the building marries a resolutely modern silhouette with the traditional uses of a Christian place of worship. The site's dual purpose, as both church and school, calls for outdoor furniture able to welcome varied audiences, from worshippers to pupils.
The installation was carried out in autumn 2021. The aim is clear: to bring design into a demanding architectural programme without ever sacrificing sturdiness or comfort. Vondom furniture answers this equation with rare ease.
The Africa collection for the dining area
On the forecourt set aside for meals, the chairs and armchairs of the Africa collection, designed by Eugeni Quitllet, lead the way. The Catalan designer, trained at La Llotja in Barcelona, deploys his distinctive vocabulary here: graphic silhouettes in which solid and void converse with finesse, as if revealed by the material itself.
These seats meet the tables from the Frame collection by Ramón Esteve. The Valencian architect's signature is recognisable by its serene, timeless lines. The Dekton tabletops, in technical ceramic, bring all-round resistance and a noble materiality, perfectly suited to the intensive outdoor use of a school campus.

The rest area by Ramón Esteve
A few steps further on, a second hub invites a pause. Ramón Esteve orchestrates a contemplative scene around the large Tablet modular sofa, in a "glad dessert" finish that brings a remarkable visual softness. The modularity of the piece makes it possible to compose seating for two or for around ten, depending on the time of day.
The Frame side table, again with a Dekton top, accompanies the sofa of the same name. The set cultivates a minimalist aesthetic that suits informal exchanges between students as readily as moments of reflection.
Ambitious contemporary architecture
SAE Design conceived Victory Church as an architectural landmark for the city of Tulsa. The programme aims to become the metropolis's leading religious centre, combining the spiritual dimension, the educational mission and community roots. The modernity of the building called for outdoor furniture to match, neither anecdotal nor heritage-led, able to carry the contemporary signature of the place.
The choice of Vondom follows this logic. The Africa, Frame and Tablet collections share a coherent formal grammar, controlled European manufacturing and resistance to Oklahoma's demanding climate, from hot summers to sometimes harsh winters.
Design as a mark of distinction
Beyond function, the furniture plays a symbolic role here. By choosing pieces by two of the greatest names in contemporary design, Eugeni Quitllet and Ramón Esteve, Victory Church asserts that a place of worship can in turn become a place of visual culture.
This approach speaks to us particularly at Verano Design. Equipping a large-scale project is not just about choosing durable products; it is about composing a story, in which every seat, every table, every sofa contributes to the identity of the place. Victory Church illustrates this philosophy with rare precision.
