The Mediterranean as a natural backdrop
In the north of the island of Malta, in St Paul's Bay, the Best Western Premier Malta stands out as an oasis suspended between sky and sea. The rooftop and outdoor spaces play the leading roles, transformed into places of contemplation where the Mediterranean panorama becomes the true subject of the decor.
To dress these scenes, the project team brought together four emblematic Vondom collections: Africa, Mari-Sol, Spritz and Ulm. Four distinct signatures in dialogue within a single ecru, luminous and sunny palette.

The rooftop, a sanctuary above the sea
The roof terrace of the Best Western Premier Malta was designed as a sanctuary of serenity. Around the pool, the layout lets the breeze circulate and directs the eye towards the horizon. Each piece of outdoor furniture was chosen to disappear into the landscape while raising the level of comfort.
The ecru palette chosen by the architects plays with the Mediterranean light, multiplying reflections and contrasts through the hours of the day. A sober, almost ceremonial staging that puts the guest experience at the centre.

Spritz, floating elegance at the poolside
Around the pool, the sun loungers from the Spritz collection, designed by Archirivolto Design, seem to float on the surface of the roof. Inspired by Mediterranean freshness, their light, linear structure delivers a discreet elegance that readily gives way to the view.
The effect is almost graphic: a succession of Spritz sun loungers in a row, punctuated by ecru Altea fabric cushions that give the space its rhythm without overloading it. A lesson in restraint that turns the rooftop into a holiday destination in its own right.

Ulm pots by Ramón Esteve, greenery as a frame
To accompany the sun loungers, the pots from the Ulm collection designed by Ramón Esteve bring a breath of greenery that subtly structures the space. Their rounded lines and robust silhouette ensure a strong presence without interrupting the view of the panorama.
Designed for demanding environments, the Ulm pots withstand the intensive conditions of Mediterranean roof terraces. The plants then become the true ornaments of the place, bringing life, colour and freshness to every corner.

Africa and Mari-Sol, a welcome by Eugeni Quitllet
From the entrance, the Best Western Premier Malta sets the tone. The armchairs from the Africa collection answer the Mari-Sol coffee tables, two designs by Eugeni Quitllet for Vondom. Together they create an immediate first impression that is warm, contemporary and polished.
The reception area becomes a true waiting lounge where guests are invited to linger rather than simply pass through. The same combination continues on the rooftop, in a lounge spirit that encourages conversation and dining.

From dinner to cocktails, a rooftop in lounge mode
On the rooftop, the staging continues as the sun goes down. The robust structure of the Africa armchairs, combined with their organic design, invites guests to prolong the meal in close connection with the surroundings. The Mari-Sol tables, with their clean lines, adapt to different uses, from a relaxed lunch to a more formal dinner.
A few steps away is a bar designed for end-of-day cocktails. The Africa stools make for very dignified seating there, combining elegance and sturdiness. Their clean, contemporary look reinforces the venue's atmosphere, relaxed and sophisticated at once.

Durability to match the standing
Beyond the design, each of the Vondom collections used at the Best Western Premier Malta meets a demanding specification. Resistance to UV, sea spray and intensive use: these pieces keep their lustre season after season, in a particularly challenging environment.
This silent robustness allows the hotel to maintain, over time, the aesthetic promise set by the original project. A shared standard between the establishment and the brand, which turns the Maltese rooftop into a showcase of Mediterranean outdoor design.
