In Shanghai, the company SomeNew has made a speciality of online commerce in the beauty and care sector. For its offices, it sought a calm, stress-free working environment where every employee can feel good.
The project is based on large, fluid, bright spaces. The aesthetic blends a modern and neoclassical spirit, combining Greek columns and an exposed industrial ceiling, enhanced by vivid colours such as navy blue and mustard yellow. The furniture and decorative elements were carefully selected from the best international brands.
A meeting point at the heart of the offices
One of the most striking spaces is the central zone, a shared open-plan area that links all the other work areas. This strategic point was designed as a place of exchange, where employees and clients cross paths and meet.

Suave plant pots, a Mediterranean touch
To dress this space, the choice fell on the modern plant pots of the Suave collection, designed by Marcel Wanders for Vondom. Their soft, enveloping volumes bring a thoroughly Mediterranean warmth to this otherwise urban, graphic décor.
Far from being mere accessories, these pieces become the protagonists of the space, structuring the place while introducing the living presence of plants.

When design enhances a place
With just a few well-chosen pieces, the Suave collection revealed the value of an otherwise functional space. The Spanish designer furniture brand turned a zone of passage into a true rallying point, at once elegant and welcoming.
A balance between rigour and softness
The whole interest of the project lies in this controlled tension: the freshness of the neoclassical architectural lines on one side, the sensual roundness of the Suave plant pots on the other. A dialogue that gives the place its personality and balance, and a reminder that an office can also be somewhere people enjoy being together.
