Architecture and design are not always frozen in stillness; sometimes they can capture the very essence of speed. Inspired by the idea of interstellar travel and a fascination with perpetual motion, the Vondom Bye-Bye collection turns inert matter into a dynamic form. Like a trail of light frozen in space-time, this range offers a fresh perspective on contemporary furniture, inviting the viewer to feel the lightness and energy that flow from every curve.
A weightless aesthetic by Bye-Bye
What strikes you first about these creations is their singular silhouette, which seems to defy gravity. The design relies on a carefully orchestrated visual tension between a fluid, almost abstract upper line and a more rigorous geometric base. This duality makes the planter appear to stretch, as if distorted by a sudden burst of acceleration or the jump to light speed.
Far from being mere containers for your plants, these pieces act as true architectural sculptures. They bring an undeniable artistic touch to the spaces they occupy, creating a focal point that catches the eye and sparks curiosity. Whether in a large garden, on an urban terrace or in an avant-garde reception hall, the fluid lines soften the surroundings while injecting a dose of radical modernism.
Technical innovation and durability of the Bye-Bye range
Behind this airy look lies the expertise of Dutch designer Harry Paul. Known for his mysterious objects and experimental approach, this award-winning industrial designer, notably recognised with the prestigious Good Design Award, explores here the limits of materials and technology. To bring these complex, elongated shapes to life, manufacturing relies on rotomoulding, an advanced technique the Spanish brand has fully mastered.
Made from polyethylene resin, these planters are exceptionally robust. They are designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions, from intense UV rays to temperature swings, while keeping their structural integrity and their sheen. This outstanding durability allows them to be used both indoors and outdoors, giving architects and decoration enthusiasts complete freedom of layout.
Introducing these sculptural pieces can radically transform the atmosphere of a space, bringing character and originality. To explore other creative horizons and complete your layout with equally daring pieces, we invite you to discover the world of Vondom.
