Vondom Solid Collection

Architecture and design merge to create a series of pieces with strong character, where visual stability meets surprising lightness. Designed by the renowned designer Stefano Giovannoni, the Vondom Solid collection stands out for its sculptural approach, giving the illusion that each piece has been carved directly from stone. This range does more than occupy space; it structures it with crisp geometric cuts and a monolithic presence that commands respect while inviting relaxation.

A mineral aesthetic by Stefano Giovannoni for Solid

Stefano Giovannoni, an emblematic figure of industrial design whose work is held at the Centre Georges Pompidou and MoMA, shows his complete mastery of plastic materials here. Moving away from the fluid organic forms he is known for, he opts for a formal rigour reminiscent of cut rock. The lines are clean, the angles precise and the volumes generous. This "mineral" aesthetic brings a contemporary, timeless touch to your layouts, whether in a pared-back indoor living room or on a large sunny terrace. The strength of the design lies in its duality: a sturdy, unshakeable appearance that hides great ease of handling day to day.

Technical quality and versatility of Solid furniture

Beyond its sculpted look, this series shines through its technical ingenuity. Made from injection-moulded polypropylene enriched with mineral additives, the material offers exceptional resistance to weather and UV rays, ensuring a longer life under intensive outdoor use. This manufacturing method gives a flawless finish and a texture that is pleasant to the touch. Functionality is at the heart of the project: most of the seats, whether chairs, armchairs or lounge chairs, are stackable, making storage easier and saving space. The family is completed by 2 seater and 3 seater sofas, as well as dining tables and coffee tables, so you can create consistent, convivial sets.

If the geometric rigour of these designs gives structure to your decor, you can play on contrasts to liven up the atmosphere. To soften the strong angles of these pieces, you can pair them with the generous, inflated curves of the Vondom Blow collection or the soft visual comfort of the Vondom Pillow collection. If you would like to keep this natural inspiration while moving towards more organic, rounded forms, pairing them with the Vondom Stone collection will create a fascinating mineral dialogue.
