Vondom Voxel Collection

A true manifesto of domestic architecture, the Vondom Voxel collection turns outdoor space into a contemporary art gallery. Designed by the prolific Karim Rashid, this furniture series stands out for a bold conceptual approach where function meets sculpture. Each piece seems to have been cut like a diamond, offering a captivating play of light and shadow through its many facets. More than simple furnishing, this range offers a structural visual experience that redefines the codes of modern outdoor design.

The geometric, faceted look of the Voxel range

The inspiration behind this line comes from the well-known Vertex chair, an earlier design by the brand, of which it offers a lighter, more architectural version. The design is defined by precise angular forms and converging lines that are not only aesthetic but carefully calculated to ensure outstanding structural integrity. Whether for the chair, the armchair or the bar stool, every fold of the material has been designed to bring beauty and visual purity.

This angular design creates visual volume while keeping a minimalist silhouette. The facets are positioned at strategic points to follow the body, ensuring surprising comfort despite the object's rigorous appearance. It is a celebration of geometry where sharp edges meet ergonomics, creating furniture that catches the eye and invites relaxation.

Technical innovation and functionality with Voxel

Such complex forms are only possible thanks to complete mastery of injection moulding. Made of injected polypropylene reinforced with fibreglass, the pieces in this series offer exceptional weather resistance while remaining surprisingly light. This technical approach ensures a balanced weight distribution, making pieces such as the sun lounger or the side table easy to move and arrange as you wish.

Besides its strength, this manufacturing method gives the furniture an essential feature: it is stackable. The Voxel chair, for example, is a simple yet voluminous piece that stores easily, combining practicality with elegance. Karim Rashid, an industrial designer with many awards to his name, shows here his talent for merging art, fashion and engineering in a durable product, able to enhance a residential terrace as well as a demanding contract space.

To accentuate this geometric rigour and keep a strong architectural spirit, you can pair these pieces with the parent Vondom Vertex collection. Conversely, if you want to soften the sharp angles with organic curves and create a dynamic contrast, combine this set with the fluid lines of the Lava, Pal and Surf ranges.
