Within the Plaza del Valle shopping centre in Loja, Ecuador, the Cinemas In cinema has been entirely rethought by the studio INAI Arquitectura. A renovation that places design at the heart of the cinema experience.
A futuristic concept inspired by cinema
The interior fit-out draws on the traditional film-making process: audiovisual reels combined with a futuristic concept, where different colours represent the pixels needed to bring images to life. A visual narrative that turns the lobby into an immersive experience.

The Lava bench, the perfect finishing touch
At the centre of the space, the Lava bench, designed by Karim Rashid, stands out as the ideal finishing touch. This piece from the Spanish brand Vondom follows the curves of the futuristic concept and invites audiences to pause before the screening.

When furniture tells a story
With its organic lines and sculptural presence, the Lava bench does not simply furnish: it extends the story of the place. At Cinemas In, design becomes a character in its own right, serving a viewer experience rethought from end to end.
