JM Ferrero: industrial designer
Born José Manuel Ferrero in 1978 in Ontinyent, in the province of Valencia, JM Ferrero studied industrial design engineering at Jaume I University in Castellón. After working in the studio of architect Oscar Tusquets and collaborating with the brand Gandía Blasco, he founded estudi{H}ac in 2003, following his participation in the NUDE exhibition at the Valencia Habitat Fair.
A bespoke design studio, between product and interior architecture
JM Ferrero describes estudi{H}ac as a design studio devoted to bespoke projects, interior architecture and temporary installations. His studio works with brands such as Sancal, Toyota, L'Antic Colonial, Porcelanosa and Ondarreta, as well as Vondom. His work has won several awards, including Best Industrial Designer from the Valencian magazine Tendencias in 2011, and the Best of Year Award from the American magazine Interior Design in 2010 for the Tea collection designed for Sancal.
JM Ferrero's collections for Vondom
For Vondom, JM Ferrero designed the Vondom Marquis collection and the Vondom Vases collection, both inspired by the designer's fascination with diamond cutting. Their polygonal design, made up of simple triangles, recalls the facets produced by the cut and creates a play of shadows reminiscent of pleated fabric.
