Vondom Daybeds

Vondom daybeds: the designer outdoor bed for garden and pool

A daybed, or garden bed, is a low, generous seating piece designed for lying down outdoors, halfway between a canopy bed and a sun lounger. The selection of Vondom daybeds brings together collections by renowned designers, notably Ramón Esteve and Jean-Marie Massaud, available as a round daybed, a square model, one of our raised outdoor daybeds or a 2 seater outdoor daybed, to furnish a private garden as well as a pool terrace, a rooftop or a beach club.

A Vondom daybed: which material for which use?

The best outdoor bed for a garden or pool depends above all on its material. Double-walled rotomoulded polyethylene, the most common in this selection, fears neither water nor UV: its colour runs through the material and does not flake, unlike a surface paint, so the frame can stay outside all year without any care beyond washing with soapy water.

Other daybeds rely on powder-coated aluminium, lighter and highly corrosion-resistant, or on wood (teak, iroko), which brings natural warmth and develops a grey patina over time under UV, with no effect on its strength. Some models combine an aluminium frame and iroko wood legs with cold-cured injected polyurethane foam padding, for comfort close to an indoor sofa. The choice between these materials depends mainly on the style you want: sculptural lines and bright colours for polyethylene, a cleaner, timeless look for aluminium or wood.

The Vondom daybed: integrated canopy, reclining backrests and swivel castors

Some garden beds incorporate a canopy directly into the frame, an alternative to the traditional canopy bed that offers sun protection without a separate accessory. Others feature independent reclining backrests that adjust the resting position to each person's needs. The 360° swivel castors found on several collections make it easy to reposition the piece to follow the sun or to rearrange a lounge area in a few moves.

The Vondom daybed: syncable LED lighting and a built-in Bluetooth speaker

Many daybeds are available in an LED version, with lighting that can be controlled remotely and coordinated with the other light up pieces in the same collection, for a consistent atmosphere across an entire outdoor space. Some finishes even include a Bluetooth speaker built into the frame, to play music without adding any visible accessory.

Vondom cushions and fabrics designed for outdoors

Seat and back cushions, available as an option on several models, use outdoor fabrics treated to resist stains and repel water, and resistant to UV and moisture. They cope with the occasional shower, although bringing them in during the off-season noticeably extends their lifespan.

Creating a complete Vondom lounge area

For a complete outdoor lounge, a daybed pairs naturally with a Vondom sofa or with Vondom sun loungers, and a Vondom Vela daybed finds its shade under a Vondom pergola from the same Vela range. Everything belongs to the Vondom outdoor furniture collection, which brings together the Spanish manufacturer's entire catalogue, delivered by Verano Design to eleven European countries.
