When the Baltic invites the Tropics
On the Estonian coast, in the seaside resort of Pärnu, the Miami Lounge restaurant has chosen to break the rules. At northern latitudes, it brings a tropical breeze, carried by a decorative signature in which Vondom furniture takes the leading role. An experience that turns every visit into a sunny escape.
The Estonian agency OCCO, a local interior design reference, orchestrated the whole project. From the choice of pieces to their arrangement, every detail answers a clear vision: to set Scandinavian rigour in dialogue with the warmth of Miami Beach, all under a resolutely contemporary aesthetic.

The ground floor, two mirrored atmospheres
On the lower level, the restaurant unfolds two complementary worlds, set apart by the furniture itself. On one side, the Frame high tables by Ramón Esteve converse with the Africa stools by Eugeni Quitllet. Together they form a relaxed zone, ideal for afternoons that stretch out and conversations that linger.

On the other side, the Africa armchairs join the Ulm modular sofa. Straight lines softened by controlled curves, generous seats designed for meals that go on: these pieces offer uncompromising comfort, with family or among friends.

The terrace, a natural extension of the décor
The move outdoors marks no break. The decorative language stays true to itself, simply enriched by the Stone collection by Stefano Giovannoni. Some pieces, fitted with integrated LED lighting, redraw the terrace at nightfall to turn it into a glowing jewel box.

Strategically placed, the round Ulm planters hold palm trees that seal the tropical illusion. Through the long Baltic evenings, these planted volumes cast a soft light and bring a Miami Beach atmosphere right to the heart of Estonia.

Upstairs, colour takes over
On the first floor, the tone changes. The Spritz collection takes over the interior with its stools and high tables in a vivid palette. A bold choice that turns this level into a joyful, almost festive stopover, perfect for the end of service when laughter mingles with cocktails.

The chromatic generosity of Spritz deliberately contrasts with the sobriety of the ground floor. This contrast is part of the restaurant's spatial story: each floor tells its own tale, each atmosphere speaks to a different moment of the day.
The outside, an open-air lounge
The Miami Lounge's vast outdoor space becomes a true summer living room. Here you will find the Ulm modules, complemented by the Suave poufs by Marcel Wanders. A combination that invites you to take your time: a lunch that stretches on, a cocktail savoured until the crescendo of the Scandinavian white night.

A bold choice that became a signature
By bringing six Vondom collections together under one roof, OCCO has made a statement. The Miami Lounge does not simply offer quality dining, it claims a strong visual identity that makes it one of the most distinctive spots in Pärnu.
For architects and restaurateurs looking for an inspiring reference, this project shows how a well-judged dialogue between several collections from the same brand can give rise to an exceptional venue. A contract design lesson worth pondering.
