Description

The Tulum wood and aluminium outdoor sofa, 2 seater: the living room brought outdoors

Eugeni Quitllet conceived this wood and aluminium outdoor sofa as the centrepiece of the Vondom Tulum collection, the piece that best embodies his wish to recreate the comfort of an indoor living room in a space open to the sky. "Tulum is more than a collection, it is a place, your personal space", the designer said when presenting the range, a place designed for getting together and sharing a moment rather than simply somewhere to sit.

Solid volumes, a lightened structure

The strong linearity of the frame is deliberately softened by rounded corners and open spaces beneath the seat, which keep this two seater sofa from looking bulky despite its presence. The teak armrests visually anchor the piece while remaining discreet, for a silhouette that fits a covered porch as well as an open terrace, in a hotel lounge as in a private garden.

Built to last outdoors

The aluminium profiles are extruded specifically for this collection and joined with particularly careful welds, for a structure that stays solid despite the repeated handling of intensive use. The fabric resists chlorine, UV and moisture, while teak, a wood known for its resistance to the elements, develops its natural silvery patina over time.
