Stellar architecture in the heart of Hunan
In the heart of Yunda Central Plaza, in the Chinese megacity of Changsha, the Hotel W unfolds its singular silhouette. The building's architecture draws on the geometric shapes of stars, a bold signature for a four-star property of the prestigious Marriott chain. A formal ambition that demanded outdoor furniture able to hold its own in the dialogue.
The choice naturally fell on Vondom and its five flagship collections. Faz, Frame, Stone, Vertex and Voxel form an ensemble in which three leading designers converse: Ramón Esteve, Stefano Giovannoni and Karim Rashid. Three styles, one contemporary ambition.
A garden conceived as a sequence of spaces
The hotel garden is not merely a backdrop: it is made up of several distinct zones, each with its own identity. The Stone collection meets the Faz high tables and the Vertex stools. A considered combination that lets guests take in the beauty of the garden while enjoying optimised comfort.
This cross-sourcing logic reveals a precise skill: combining pieces from different worlds without ever breaking the visual coherence of the whole. The formal language of each collection answers the others, and the materials resonate.

The Faz signature, the project's common thread
In the adjoining space, the Faz modular sofa finds its setting. Paired with the floor lamp from the same collection, it forms a lounge corner of discreet elegance. Ramón Esteve's straight lines, with their controlled restraint, bring the unique modernity that characterises the Spanish designer's signature.
At nightfall, the integrated lighting transforms the atmosphere. The terrace becomes a softly lit space where the furniture converses with the light. A rare mastery of night-time staging, in which the Faz collection has become a specialist.

By the pool, the art of absolute rest
An iconic piece of the Faz collection, the daybed sits by the pool like a manifesto. With its integrated adjustable parasol, it gives guests a true private cocoon after a swim. A design piece that has become an absolute reference in luxury hospitality projects around the world.
This daybed crystallises the Vondom philosophy: outdoor furniture that makes no concession on either comfort or aesthetics. A piece designed to last, in time as well as in taste.

When breakfast becomes an experience
Another defining space of the project: the outdoor dining room. The Voxel armchairs by Karim Rashid join the minimalist Frame table by Ramón Esteve. An unexpected but successful pairing, which turns breakfast or a private dinner into a memorable experience.
Voxel brings its taut, pixelated silhouette, Frame its horizontal purity: two strong signatures that complement each other through contrast. It is the art of contract sourcing taken to its highest level.

LED lighting, a night-time signature
Inside the hotel, the Faz collection reappears in a particular form: pieces fitted with integrated LED lighting. This technology creates a unique atmosphere, serene and touched with a quiet magic that transforms the spaces as night advances.
The hotel thus shows that, beyond aesthetic choice, Vondom brings sophisticated technical solutions. The furniture is no longer just looked at: it plays an active part in the venue's night-time staging.

Five collections, one contemporary vision
The Hotel W Changsha illustrates a particular achievement: setting five distinct collections, designed by three designers with very different worlds, in dialogue within a visual coherence that serves the building's stellar identity. A high-wire creative exercise in which every piece finds its place without ever competing with the others.
For architects and hoteliers seeking inspiration in Asia, this project shows how European luxury outdoor furniture can resonate with the most daring architecture on the continent. The Spanish signature sketches, illuminates and lets guests of the Hotel W enjoy a setting unique of its kind.
